ON THE BLOG: How to get brand partnerships ⚡️
I’m excited about this one because this is one YOU’VE asked for! 🖤
Gonna keep this social post short and sweet cause the blog post itself is long. Go to the link in my bio, click on Blog Posts, and find tips on how to land partnerships with your favorite brands! 🙋🏽♀️📲
If you’re not reaching your ideal customer…
It could be because you’re not really talking to them?!
I got a message from someone this morning who was struggling to attract her ideal clients, and this is what I told her:
First of all, define your ideal client and speak directly to them. Your brand bio/mission statement should clearly state who you work with (or who you WANT to work with). Wanna work for fashion and beauty brands? Alllllll your content should reflect that!
You should be consistently showing up on Instagram Stories with consistent free value, tips, and content specifically for them. What problems are they facing? What topics do they care about? What questions do they have? What are they entertained by? Craft your content around that!
The majority of your feed (imagery and copy) should really be focused on what will attract them (while still feeling like YOU). Because while YOU are your business, it’s not really about you. It’s about your customer…
What questions do you have about this? Feel free to leave it here or shoot me a DM 🖤👇🏼
The main reason why you may be OVERWHELMED with social media for business…
(75% of you said you were on one of my recent polls! 😳)
You’re not planning ahead. Seriously, if you’re trying to think of what content you want to share at 7:30 p.m. while you’re making dinner and unwinding for the night (been there, done that! 🙋🏽♀️), you’re setting yourself up for overwhelm.
I recommend planning your posts AT LEAST a couple days in advance. I used to work for a company where it was our goal to be creating content 90 days out, getting it approved 60 days out, and scheduling it 30 days out.
I’d love to recommend that to you but let’s be real, that’s TOUGH for a one woman/one man show or a small team.
ALSO: you may be setting your expectations too high. If you have a jam packed schedule, maybe posting every day on FB, IG, and multiple times on IG Stories isn’t feasible for you. Make a reasonable goal you know you can be consistent with.
So, here’s your little reminder to PLAN AHEAD, so you can reduce overwhelm. 🖤
psssst: I have a blog post on repurposing your content. That will help, too!⚡️🌈 link in bio, my friend!
Confession: sometimes I have days, or weeks, of feeling like I’m not making enough of an impact.
I’m not doing as well as I should be.
I’m not sharing enough value.
I’m not always “practicing what I preach”.
Then, BOOM: I literally get 4-5 messages at once from people who look up to me, want me to answer their questions, and ask for my advice to help them along their journey.
Life is kinda funny like that. Sometimes you go through phases of feeling super down and then all the sudden, when you feel like you can’t do it anymore, a wave of energy or a wave of motivation hits and all the sudden, you have massive confidence again.
Entrepreneurs: I know you’re with me on this one. What I’ve learned/heard is that this up and down feeling never really goes away no matter how many goals you hit in your business.
So, note of encouragement to my friends who are feeling this too:
What you’re doing matters.
People are watching.
People are listening.
People are beginning to trust you.
Things may not be where you want right now, but you’re building things up so they’re even better tomorrow and days to come.
Hang in there 🖤

My GOALS for July:
Track every minute of work for all clients so I can determine my plan and projects for the rest of the year. This isn’t something I’ve made a habit of yet 😅
Publish 5 blog posts. All around topics that you guys requested! Stay tuned 🖤
Brainstorm and start developing a GROUP consulting program, which will be available for a limited amount of people. 😉
Get 25 workouts in (1 down 🙋🏽♀️).
Finish 2 books.
And just keep on keepin’ on 🤘🏽
What’s one of your goals for the month of July?
You have to be okay with rejection.
Throughout the past year and a half, I’ve had several oppositions to my prices, my services, my proposals, etc.
I’ve had people try to “negotiate” my prices. And I’m so thankful that I’ve had mentors that taught me to NEVER settle for less than what my work was worth. And to never be afraid to say “no thanks”. The beauty of being an entrepreneur is you can make the rules.
Anytime I’ve gotten rejection or opposition in my business, I stayed STRONG in what I knew I was worth and didn’t cave in to what they thought was “fair” or “right”.
When you stay strong, you’ll be taken seriously. 👌🏼
You’re an entrepreneur. Know your worth and don’t settle for less than you deserve.
Got it? 😉🖤
So… have you ever been “rejected” in business? I feel like this could come up with some interesting stories 😂
